Hmm looking at those pics again Im going to go look at my callipers my are different they dont say corvette and they are early production , so I might be wrong. They are early proto build pieces.

I just tested a set of production 2006 Z06 callipers and I was wrong they do bolt directly on and the hoses work :tup: Sweet now I have 6 piston fronts.

Get the Ls1 brackets and there is a kit made to C5 or c6 brakes on the back they are only dual piston , but you can get 13inch rears,

You have to convert to Ls1 brakes first then you do a second upgrade you only really need the calliper mont like 90 each from the dealer.

which caliper will that use? the C5 one or the new C6ZO6 one? isnt the C5 one a single piston? not that thats bad..... id still be ok with a single piston. just trying to figure out what parts i need. anyone sitting on a parts list? or a how to artical?

The C5 fronts are 2 piston (supposed to be 40mm pistons, haven't measured), the C5 rears are 1 piston (don't know size). I'd love to see a parts list myself. I've got a parts list for the C5 fronts, but that probably isn't what you're looking for.....

BTW, how those LSx oilpans coming? Just bought a '99 Bravada, and its definitely has an LSx motor in its future.

If you have the ls1 rears you have the caliper mount you just need the rotor and new calliper, let me find the info.

After reading this thread, I started doing some quick research. the new c6 Z06 brand new calipers are 6 piston front - four piston rear. 14" front rotor and 13.5" rear rotor. You HAVE to use 18" wheels min. If your using these rotors in the rear of a corvette and would have to run a 1/4" spacer. Many syty people already use spacers. C6 Z06 front calipers ARE currently available for around $600 for the pair of front only. The set of rotors, front and rear are almost $400. The only drawback is the set of brake pads(4 wheels) are $500. When looking at this set compared to brembos. They are very cheap. Even using camaro rear disc and new c6z06 front calipers. It would be an incredible upgrade. From what i read and the guy i spoke to. There way better than even stock vette. I will be ordering a set for the front only. The drawback for me is that i have to buy 18" wheels.

where are you getting them that cheap dealer cost is twice that for the fronts.
