if you dont want to cut your stock spindle, there is another option.... 98 and newer 4x4 s-10 blazer complete spindle set with brakes, rotors, hubs, abs sensors, and dual piston calipers. these are very nice units, and bolt right on, where your stock spindle was.
i have done this conversion to 2 of the truck's that i own, and it is money well spent.
a guy sels the complete assembly's on e-bay for $255
seller id is s10wharehouse.

i've seen his stuff. i actually have a set of 98+ upper/lower control arms that i'm getting around to putting in eventually. i think i still have a pair of the calipers too, although the only thing you really gain is 0.3" in rotor diameter. not really much of an improvement other than the dual piston caliper. i'm looking for a cheap but beefy way to upgrade.

stock s-10 rotor = 10.5 inch
98 and newer rotor = 11 inch, + dual piston calipers = lots better braking!!!
believe me i have these on 2 of my trucks, my 97 s-10 SS, and my 4200lb 4 door 4x4 92 jimmy.
they were the best money i have ever spent.
i hauled the sy, on a car trailer, + 1000 lbs of my shit, (jacks, jackstands, tools, clothes, etc)
for a grand total of 6000lbs of dead weight for 1300 miles round trip.
needless to say i had more than enough brakes,
i also have the 11.5 inch rears from a 98 s-10 4x4 blazer on the back.
my total cost for my 4 wheel disc brakes is....
front = $300 for complete brake setup with lines and everything
back = $140 for complete setup with caliper brackets, calipers, and 2 new rotors from the store!!!
for a grand total of $440 ...............you cant even buy the baer calipers for the front for that!!
also here's the best part..... ssbc makes a bolt in 3 piston caliper for the 98 and newer that uses 13 inch rotors. so when you go 17 inch and larger, you have even more WOAH!!!

The C5 caliper is your best bang for your buck esp. since the CBR mounting kit is very affordable.
If you want to run a realistic rim size say..17" then that's about all that will fit aside from the no longer availble 4 piston Baer/Alcon kit. (Tom Dowd has these on his Ty)

If you do the CBR 13 inch kit with the camaro callipers you need 18 inch wheels. but with vette callipers 17s will work

MAYBE I DON'T UNDERSTAND.... I BOUGHT THE CBR F BODY KIT AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WOULD FIT WITH MY 17" ZR1 WHEELS. IS THIS NOT TRUE..warmpancakes said:

The f-body kit is a 12inch rotor . you will have no problems.

these will be the hot new setup, (6 piston 6 pad production parts, and most likely works with the existing CBR C5 bracket kit) but im pretty sure your gonna need 18" wheels for these.

The wont work with the existing brackets i have a set in the garage and the callipers are 1200 each

Nope they dont the bracket is wider they mount into I wish they did I got a great deal on these and the rotors (read free into that)
