22psi is the number I have found to work best on my setup, those caltracs and limiters with the two step will make a BIG difference.I have got mine down into the low 1.4s.By the way what was your build again?

I have a built 4l80...should I install it with the v6 or wait another 2 months for the V8?

Re: New PB 10.74@124.86mph

I think I will install one of the 4l80 trannys I have into the ty and transfer the sy v6 into it. That way I can take my time on the sy V8 conversion...as long as I have something to play with.

You will loose 2-3 tenths with the 80e. The gear ratios are different and it heavy as hell.FYI.

My only good back to back test went faster with 80e. I think peoples results will vary some depending on cams, what RPM's the motor likes best, how well they tune the shift points to match the motor combination, etc.

I suspect some will slow down, others speed up. A good 4l80e is always faster than a broke 700 though.

At the 5:00 mark you hold your launch against the converter for 10seconds thats what smoked your 700r4.

Mine doesnt feel any slower, feels like it launchs harder with the new converter and lower first first gear ratio, and pulls harder in 4th because of the lock and gear ratio. :2cents:
