New PB 10.74@124.86mph

Syclone#2960

What ever it takes!!
Ran the truck again yesterday with the same 21 psi of boost. I was trying to improve on my 60ft. times but 1.71 is all I could muster. This track is not sticky...I have some track bite on order from jegs. I ran twice with the same results. Called it a day after a rocker stud came loose & the alky pump started acting up.

Re: New PB 10.74@124.86mph

Little birdie told me that you were doing all this on the 700. Call me crazy but I thought that was quite the accomplishment. How low you gonna try and push that thing. Any plans to upgrade the tranny...or you gonna keep rolling with it?

Hi Dave- The 4l65 is what I'm running.I have a built 4l80 that will be installed when the 408" is ready. I might of loss OD on that final pass. I need to reinstall the rocker stud to confirm. Everything started to happen like a chain reaction.
1. vac plug on the fuel pressure was loose.(dropping fuel psi)
2. vac lines started to blow off at the BOV.(because BOV not working)
3.alky pump was flooding out the truck.(because of disconnected vac lines)
4.heard ticking noise, rocker stud came loose.
5. felt like OD was out.( but not sure because of loose rocker).

Looks like I'm done racing this year. I have multiple projects that are due by Jan 1st.
Starting today...weekends & evenings.

Here is a better video someone else recorded...My camera crew is fired!

Nice track. You don't often see trees shading a drag strip. Usually, you're sitting in full sun and 101 degrees.

And its near a river! Probably some good birdwatching between runs...

Only you would put birdwatching and drag racing on the same page. WTF

Congrats on the run. Thats a hell of a time on a chip tune and 700 r4. Very impressive indeed.

That guy shooting video needs some practice. That track sure does look nice. As far as the birdwatching goes, did the camera guy spot a bird a half track? Maybe thats why he stopped filming you. Wish i could have been there, maybe next year I can drive mine over and see if i can beat out your new time. If not i could atleast get in some good birdwatching.

P.S. I still think if you would have taken off the Syclone winshield decal you would have ran faster.

Hey maybe waller could give you a great deal on a built trans........

Well I reinstalled the rocker stud and drove it around the block. Only to discover the tranny is not shifting from 1st gear.
