NASTE webserver is down...

yes, unfortunately my webserver decided to die on me last night.. took till today for me to notice (work)

apparently one of the HD's died, which means all data has been lost.

Im sorry guys, I will try to come up with a way to backup the sites.. this is the second time my hardware has decided to crap out on me..

Eric I really appreciate the use of your server, sorry to hear it crashed.

thanks.. yeah, I had two 120 gig drives striped to give about 230gigs of space.. one died.. so all data is lost..

this time.. two 120 gig drives, mirrored.. and an extra 120 gig drive for good measure

ok, so I came into work today, to find out that supposedly the harddrives aren't bad.. but one of the cpus is..

so this means, all data might not be lost.. but more $ will need to be spent

If its an amd dual cpu I suggest everyone grab there stuff had one die on me and the other cpu died a couple of days later.

either cpu works fine on the motherboard by itself (thats why its up now) as soon as both cpus are put in, it locks up randomly..

ie: I need to find a new motherboard.

At first i thought it was my mobo but it did the same thing, took one cpu off worked ok than after a couple of weeks it came back. Now the pc wont even boot up into xp without giving me a bsod.

just to play it safe i just copied 102 photos of my sy from the server to my home machine.... damn i sure changed a lot of stuff in the past 12 months.... time to get some new shots up.
