Mallett Typhoons

I was talking to Chuck and Lance Mallett (Mallett Corvette, Solstice, etc) last night and Chuck had mentioned that he had done four Typhoons in the 90's. Just curious if anyone knows the whereabouts of these......I looked at the archives and did not see much. He didnt start doing Vettes heavy until about 97, and was not serial numbering the early build cars. I guess they were all running 11.0's and driven daily.

He was going to try to hunt down the truck numbers for me. I would guess that these were built for Browns players (his old shop was very close to the training camp).....

Mallett is like Lingenfelter, Katech, Callaway, etc. Before they were doing Vettes, I guess they did some other stuff like the archive link said.

I only talked to him for a few, but it sounded like it was pretty typical stuff, bigger turbo, chip, tune, headers, etc. Kept the basics of the car stock appearing.

I am going to. Their shop is in Carolina now, used to be in Berea OH (Cleveland), they came up for Thanksgiving and we were all out last night. They are going to look for info on them (mind you its nearly 20 yrs ago) when they get back home and will forward to me. I just figured I would see if anyone knew if they were still around.

Oh I know who they are just never heard of the truck.

I also know of Dick Harrell,Motion Performance,Saleen,Yenko,Hennessey,Rockford Racecraft,ect. :)

Speaking of Nickey, my buddies dad temporarily moved to Chicago for work about 10 or 15 years ago and asked if he could store a car at our place for a bit. It sat in our field for about a year before he had someone come get it. It was an early 60s Nickey Impala. Wish I had known anything back then; I would have documented the heck out of it.

Funny... I had forgotten all about that until now.

I never heard of them, just hit some older stuff and glanced at some of the posts......jeez......

There was a Mustang shop east suburbs of Cleveland a while back. My friend brought his twin turbo Mustang there for a tune and a few small things. 6 months later he picked it up sitting outside in the snow, only one of the turbos was actually still on it.
