Went a bit too stiff on the new rear anti-roll bar as the rear inside tire was lifting 1 foot off the track! Truck was a little oversteerish as well. Going to try and soften the bar and possibly throw back in the softer rear springs.

I just picked up the HD Motorsport cam for wholesale, and its awesome. Comes with a suction cup mount and a few other stick-on mounts as well (you can also buy mount packages, helmet, wrist, chest, rollbar, etc). You dont have to record in HD all the time either, you have a choice of resolutions.

$300 for the motorsport package, then you need to buy an SD card....which you need to get a 16 or 32GB if you want to record for awhile.

It would be perfect for you with the snorkeling as well.

I'll have it at shindig and be recording the racing/autox stuff with it.

Nice running there Adam! Did you let him by at the end there or did he overtake you after all that work?

Nice job nonetheless!

The way the GT3 was pulling away after he went by Adam should answer the obvious.....having owned a 911 Turbo and Carrera S, I can attest first hand the GT3 RS rocks on a road course. That car had a whole lot left, especially under braking and in the turns, I assure you.

Kudo's to Adam for running in that field though. The Sy sounds very smooth and powerful.

The front view was the Go Pro Hero with supplied mount. I can put you in touch with the guy I bought mine from as his pricing is very competitive.

I bought it from a guy I know who is a Go Pro dealer. Here is his info.

$250 shipped.

The rear view was my old digital tape camera Cannon Elura 100.

I'm hoping to receive a video from the Porsche driver who was chasing me.

Re: Chased by Porsche GT3 RS

Since this is time trials we are all looking to get our best lap time during the 20-30 minute session. In the case with the Porsche he was definitely quicker in the turns and under braking. Have you seen the size of the carbon brakes on the GT3 RS? My advantage was the all wheel drive up the switch back and the straight line acceleration. I believe his lap time would have been 1-2 seconds faster per lap so I did the gentleman thing and let him pass me on the left before the back straight.

Once I get the suspension dialed in where I want it and I build up my confidence, I think I can break the sub 2 minute barrier on this configuration.

The other thing hurting me is the auto transmission. The lack of throttle response exiting the turn is slowing me down and hurting me entering the brake zones as well.

Nice running there Adam! Did you let him by at the end there or did he overtake you after all that work?

Nice job nonetheless!

Yes, I couldn't keep up in the turns, but I had him on straight line acceleration. I waived him by in the straight.

That's what I was thinking.

You know that you can get some paddle shifters for your 4L80e and BS3 combo? Might be what you're looking for...

I have been using my canon sd780is attached to an aftermarket mount, works great.. i'm just thinking another small HD camera would be great for diving and attaching to the typhoon..
