First off, Happy New Year everyone.
The past weeks My typhoon developed a noise durning stop light idle. Would sound horrible and rattle. I would pop the hood and look/listen and all I could see was the alternator making a vibration noise. I thought the bearing inside the alternator could have went.
I was probing around the belt and noticed irregular wear on the back side of the belt. (back half really) The other day I was tugging around on the actual black belt tensioner and it was very wobbly feeling. I could move it back and fourth and realize that is the noise most likely. the bearing has failed there and is creating the ugly noise.
I was looking for a replacement and found one but does not look like the original type. Anyone know the correct PN ? this "says" it is for the Syclone/Typhoon but sure looks different. Other than that the truck is like 99%.
