ALDL Display Screen Coming....Similar to Scanmaster

One of the Code59 users(SixShooter) has been working with Moates (www.moates.net) and HRTuning (www.hrtuning.com) to get the TunerViewII (Hondas version of the Scanmaster) to work with Code59. They are still working on it but it connects to the ALDL and displays data on the Display. It requires a new product from Moates called the ALDLink (which hasn't been released yet, but soon) to connect the TunerView II. The display will also pass ALDL through so you can still log the ALDL with your computer.

So once they get they get all the bugs out, we will finally have something like the Scanmaster for the SyTy. It has up to 8 differnet screens, you can have up to 8 ALDL items on the screen at a time, or just 1 and is programmable so you can display the MAP is kPa and then once you hit boost, have it displayed in PSI. Lots of things you can do with it.

Here are some pictures. SixShooter runs Code59 on his Datsun 240z.

This is so new that Craig doesn't have ALDLink stickers yet, so there is the Xtreme ALDL sticker on it, which I think is a more fitting name for this than the orginal product

This is what is different from the Xtreme ALDL, normally there would be an USB A connector here

i attempted to do something similar in college.. unfortunately i could never get it to work properly..

makes me want one though.

I think the display is ~$150, not sure on cable from moates but probably very fair like all his stuff.

I believe from what I read you will be able to buy all the stuff direct from moates in 1 box. I am in for one or 2 for sure.

Thats a great price imo and just one more reason im holding onto code $59 for the new build.

If you arent using 59 yet , nows a great time to get started !!!

So far only the 2 code masks $59 and $8D (popular Thirdgen Camero code) are listed as being able to work with this. I don't know much more about it ATM.

I would doubt $58 would work even with a definition, but time will tell. The bug in the ALDL stuff makes as-released $58 really tough to connect to.

It'd be great if it did work, though.

Most things that comes out of the ALDL should be displayable on it. SixShooter is still working with hrtuning to get the firmware for Code59 all done. I will ask him.
