I am putting a 5.3 LS engine in my truck, i have a 350 turbo transmission and was wondering if an adapter plate was needed to bolt the transmission to the new engine ?

That's technically not correct, but pretty close
The bolt hole at the ~2 o'clock position on an LS motor doesn't exist, because there's a water jacket there (don't try to drill the hole).
And the LS motor has a bolt hole at the 12 o'clock position, which the T350 doesnt' have.
However, it will bolt up just fine without that 1 bolt. It should be stout enough for most applications.
You could have an adapter made, I don't know of one available commercially.
You also should check on the crankshaft flange location. I seem to recall you need a spacer on some cranks, and not on others. I'd suggest looking over on LS1Tech.

I have a 91 S-10 converted into the syclone setup. The project started as a two wheel drive truck and became an AWD beast. The truck had a small block 406 in it pushing a little over 575 hp, all motor. Now i want to do a twin turbo LS motor. My original plan was to do the 6.0 LS but couldn't find one and I'm a little hard up for money at the moment, but lucky me I have a good friend who gave me the 5.3 engine. So now I'm gonna use this engine for now to get my basic setup for the LS conversion. The reason i ask about the adapter plate was because I had the T350 rebuilt when I pulled the 406 cause it done its damage to the tranny and I was gonna use it since its rebuilt.

Sounds like a good plan....
The T350 will bolt up. Like I said earlier, I'm not sure if the TC needs a spacer or anything. LS1Tech is probably your best resource for that kind of info.
Now, I'm not sure what your power goals are, but I expect you're getting close to the limit of what a T350 will put up with (assuming that the new motor makes north of 600hp, which shouldn't be all that hard). But with $$$ being tight, I'd say run it until it tells you otherwise....
