Hey there,

I was out to see the truck Sunday and put a deposit on it pending pickup Tuesday noonish...

I am excited to get the truck and have always wanted one since they first came out. There are still a few issues with the truck as noted above, so I will probably be picking your brains once I have gotten it in my possession tues.

I am looking forward to participating in this forum and will be posting a general intro once I get it picked up.

Cheers
Chris

Re: $4,000 project Typhoon!(pic and vid)

Hey all,

Sorry, but it's in my driveway...

I will post some pics, unfortunately it needs a lot of luvins to bring her back to shape again, but I will do what I can to get her there...

I will be in LA for pretty much all of sept and see how much longer I will stay. If anybody lives down that area (Simi Valley actually) I will be spending most of my days and nights down there relaxing and working on the truck. I am taking a break from reality for a while and hanging out with the 'rents for a bit, so this truck will be my focus of attention.

I welcome anybody that wants to come by with the promise of cold beer and great conversation for all. I am not quite sure yet what it needs, or ??? I will be taking pictures and starting a new member thread within the next few days when I get a chance to figure things out.

Cheers
Chris

PS, anybody have any info on the previous owner or any detailed info on this truck so that I can get a bigger picture what exactly I got here? Any info is appreciated.

I saw the truck aswell. Lots of good parts in need of some major TLC. I almost picked it up for parts for my Ty. Hope you like a black truck with no AC in LA. Will make a fast fun ride.

Yep ask MotorMouth about her ... I remember drooling over this truck a while back ... I loved the hood and the interior was nuts. I think I still have pics of it

Re: $4,000 project Typhoon!(pic and vid)

Hey all,

I am from Vancouver close to where huggles lives and was excited as soon as I saw the ad for the truck. I had to have it. By reading the ad and looking at all of the mods, I didn't realize how built up the truck actually is. Like was said though, It is in dire need of some luvins, but only minor things, it appears that the truck is somewhat mechanically sound. The truck will spend most of it's days in the Vancouver mainland, or I may be moving (not quite sure yet) to the BC interior for a while, probably Kelowna area.

This truck came at a perfect time for me, as I just left my job of 5 years, had a few bucks in the bank from the severance, split up with my girlfriend of also 5 years because she cheated on me. So I needed a new vehicle to help ease this time of turmoil and the truck will be my only salvation right now and keep my mind off other things. I am putting my stuff in storage up here and moving out of my place for the end of August, taking a month or so to travel down to LA to stay with my parents in LA to help put my mind on straight and figure some things out. Plus my dad is having major back surgery in late aug, so I will also be there to help him out because he will be for the most part immobile for quite some time.

SO that being said, the truck will be in the LA area being slowly gone over and primped a bit - boy does she ever need it. I will be installing a very crazy sound system into this truck (details to follow later) and fixing whatever needs during Sept and maybe a bit longer... we'll see how it all goes. If anyone would like to get together I will be posting here for communication and progress reports, please let me know what's up and I would love to meet anybody. I have always wanted one of these as soon as I first saw one as a late teenager and it has been the #1 all time favorite vehicle that I would always want to own, and now my dream came true, at the right time. Couldn't have been better.

I will post soon, as I will be going over a few things tomorrow working on the truck and should be able to post pics and start a new intro thread by the weekend. Watch for it. I will use the same title as here.

Cheers all
Chris
