Some of you requested more pics of my project truck that I've been working on. The pics basically start on the LS1 brake upgrade, after the interior conversion 2 years ago.
Enjoy.

Yea.. I agree... That's the way GM should have done it! a S-10 with ROOM IN IT!

It'll look damn near factory when your done!

Awsome job!

Re: X-cab Sy

This is going to be, by far, the coolest Sy ever!! Great project. Absolutely the way they should have been made!

Nice work! I like the seats you are using and cladding is looking killer. Truck is very bad-ass.

Re: X-cab Sy

Great job, I've been wanting to do the same but i know i never will. Now make a molde of the lower cab piece, and remake them and sell them, i would buy it.

Thanks to all for the compliments.

The joints and repairs are melted with a plastic welder kit.
Urathane Supply Co. sell it. I got it a year ago for alot cheaper than it is now! Melt wire mesh half way into the cladding. Use small broken cladding pieces to fill in and slightly overfill. Sand down to flush. The plastic rods that come w/ the kit don't sand & blend very well with the cladding, but can be used on back side for extra support. The Ty rocker has a slight arch in lower drop off, while the Sy rocker is more square. Used bondo to blend the two pieces. On some seams, I melted a layer of mesh from front and from rear to make very rigid.

Hope to take her to Nats next summer and meet the gang. The green SoGT won't even be close to being done, but working on finishing the shop now so it'll be inside for the winter. Probably has been outside most of it's life.

Oh, the Alpine is mod# 7914. Amps are in the glove box W/ a small fan in access port in back for cooling. Been in the truck since '92.

Thanks to Steve a.k.a. Chest Rockwell for the door panels. A nice and cheap grab.

Re: X-cab Sy

x2 on molding the side cladding. I have a ext cab s-10 with syclone drivetrain and if you were to mold that longer cladding id be willing to make my s-10 a syclone "clone"
