how about stuff that sheds weight instead of stuff that's already light plastic.

i know i said intercooler cap. all of the parts i mentioned are easy bolt ons and look cooler. all of the heavy parts are most likley a hassle to put on and to pay for. But thats a good idea for some stuff to lighten the load

I guess the following items could be done in Carbon Fiber:
Carbon Fiber Valve Covers (like http://www.scootersperformance.com/carbonvc.htm)
Carbon Fiber Air Box or Air Box Tube (like http://carbon-airbox-bmw-e36.bmw-airbox.com/
Carbon Fiber Headlight Buckets with air vents or front Core Support
Carbon Fiber Door Handle Guards
Carbon Fiber Syclone or Typhoon Emblems (for Aluminum Valve Covers)
Carbon Fiber oil or tranny pan (tho Im not sure how well this would work)
Carbon Fiber dip stick, guage cluster bezel, console bezel, or 3 guage pod

^ X2 on the air box tube, possibly extended for a clamp-on filter? Or a totally one-off air intake system w/ battery relocate? I like the fan shroud idea, while not shedding much weight it would be unique (and mine somehow got eaten by the fan :dunno: )

Rear window wing for the Tys (I hate having a dirty back window)
The cupholder upgrade/ gauge holder as previously mentioned
lower IC scoop
covers for the coolant & washer fluid containers, or ABS unit?

I'm in for a stock appearing pin on hood. I can drill the holes. Just need the hood.

unless a good stock hood was to show up locally that i can use , i cant say when a oem style hood will be available .i appologize .

i saw that you are striving to be ready by a certain time with your truck , but for quick service my style hood will be ready within weeks max . i can not say what it exactly weighs at this time , but it will be comparable to other fg or cf hoods with future options of making the vent functional .

my website is currently under construction and will be up soon .. any further questions or comments , i can be reached via pm or email . thank you to everyone .

They already make carbon fiber rims.

Who does?

I tried over a year ago to get a set of C/F rims and the price was inconceivable. I even tried to get something common like 17x9.5 and 17x11 ZR1 wheels. If you have a info, please share:tup:

MRKING.
I think its great if you can do this. I cant offer the Quality of carbon I offered for a cheap price. There was no over head, I personaly know the owner. Its simpily Carbon Fiber is Expensive when done right.

On another note, if someone has this Tailgate I would like to get one. The problem here is everyone talks like its going to get made but never it never apears

Yeah jamie , after nats one of my items at the top of the list is the tailgate . Are you needing full front /back tailgate ? To save time-money-weight ive been trying to see if just an outer shell would fly . The insides covered by the bed cover . Any thoughts on the matter ?

Outter would be fine. It wouldn't take much to just have a flat back on it for me. I wont be using then original latches any way.
