TyGuyJeff New member Sep 26, 2002 #3 Might be a head gasket. Blue smoke is common for valve seals on the 4.3.
Phoon30 New member Sep 26, 2002 #4 Might just be condensation in the exhaust system. Does it happen every time you start it? Or just when the truck is cold?

More than likely yes.. or condensation from the temp difference in the outside air and exhaust gasses. Valve seal probs should go away in ~10 seconds or less IMO..
