I have peel-n-seel in my Typhoon... I drove it all summer, and just so you know I have no heat shields under the truck or anything. I have had no melting or adhesion problems

Hmmm I wonder... We had 25 days over 100 degress in August 2006. A car inside a garage sweats... lol

You can have my stock Typhoon carpet if you want it. I cut it in one place because I was pissed at it and wanted it out NOW.

Your not even supposed to use Dynomat on the roof. It says so right in the instructions.
The guy that did the tundra doors didn't follow directions. When you initially install this stuff, you have to use a heat gun....JUST like the Dynomat stuff. If you just stick it on cool metal with your hands, it WILL not make good contact and it WILL come off. The surface also has to be clean. It stuck to his glass because it was hot and clean. Imagine that. Just be careful when you get advise on the internet, they seldom, if ever tell the whole story and usually use a forum to vent rather than educate.

It's not an ice dam. It's meant to seal leaks in trailors and RV's.

Apparently, he used a heat gun.

FWIW, when I installed it, I used a heat gun to properly bond the stuff and it worked OK until this weekend.

:dunno:

Lowes in Dallas carries peel n seal. I got it much cheaper buying in bulk direct from the manufacturer.
Haven't done the Ty yet, but did the Porsche.

I DID do the doors on the Ty, with Dynomat extreme (I read the link above and chickened out on using the peel n seal there. I spent more on a 'door kit' of Dynomat than I did on the bulk roll of peel n seal!) The Dynomat 'door kit' was enough to do a pretty good job on the Ty doors. A big sheet on the inside of the door skin, and smaller pieces blocking the access holes in the inside surface (will make my next window motor replacement that much more fun!). It made a BIG difference in the road noise... which only caused the other interior rattles to be that much more annoying :rotf: .

I just bought replcement carpet for the Porsche from this place:

Quality was good.

Re: Where Do I Buy New Carpet?

Does anyone make an OEM matching carpet?

All I have found are carpets that fit well but don't really match the color.

I kind of want to get new carpet and a headliner but want it to stick with the OEM look.

I think I can still get the headliner direct from GM but the carpet I am not having any luck.
