Remove the underdash panel, and probably the pass side kick panel to get to it. It is mounted vertically, and held in with one bolt.

If you want to burn and physically swap chips frequently, consider moving the ecu to the glove box. http://www.syty.net/forums/showthread.php?t=39246

Some people will just "secure" it below the dash until they're done tuning (swapping chips).

If you're using an emulator, you could leave it in the glove box, and the ecu in stock location ("permanently" connected), lots of options...
