Good to hear... What kind of cam sensor setup are you running??

I'm using a factory vortec dist for the cam sensor. Cheap and easy to setup :)

Z Ski how is your dominator install going? I have been following your syclone build for quite a while, your doing a great job on everything and I can't wait to see it finished :D

Update on my syclone, had some more free time tonight and was able to get most of the accy brackets on and the power steering pump. Pressure hose had to be modded for fit because of my oil cooler line but finally got that routed well. Then I realized I had to remove the electric cooling fan to install the ps pulley  Hopefully will get some more free time next week to finish up more odds and ends. Still a lot to do but I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel :p

Guess I'll be changing a rad hose connection Saturday. Driving home from work today and started smelling anti freeze. Got home, popped the hood. Small mess, nothing that can't be fixed under a hour. Just have to wash the engine compartment. Street Machine Nat's in Minneapolis next weekend. Have to have it clean.

Well it appeared that the 22 year old original water pump failed on my Typhoon... So what does one do?? Might as well upgrade if you gotta replace..

A friend of mine had a nice Stewart stage 2 aluminum water pump laying around so I got that off of him for cheap.. I installed that along with a 94-95 S series truck or 95 S series SUV radiator made by Spectra. It is made in Canada and seems like a very quality part.. Core thickness was the same at 1.25" and both oil coolers hooked right back up.. Radiator only cost my $98 from Rock Auto..

Only things that are different from a SyTy factory radiator was this had mounting pins on the bottom of the end tank which I just cut off, fill neck is now at a angle, and no more heater hose connection on the passenger side end tank..

One might ask, no more heater??? I still have a heater but now use the 1/2" npt fitting on the back of the water pump for the 3/4" heater hose.. I used a long section of hose with a formed 90* end and have it coming out of he heater core like the 5/8" hose.. It looks super stealth and cleans up a lot of junk from the passenger side end tank and fender well area..

Those of you who run bigger turbos or cold air boxes would appreciate how much more room there is now on that side..

Also installed a new gatorback belt, new GM tensioner and idler pulley, new thermostat housing and 160* thermostat..

It was also fun driving the truck around the block with the stick air intake not installed... Man the turbo was loud... Sounded like a jet engine... I liked it!!!

Truck now runs super cool.. Should help a little with KR.. Hope it doesn't mess with it passing smog... We shall see???

Here's a pic of the two radiators laying next to each other and I'll get a pic of the engine when the wife gets home from work... She wanted to drive it today...

See ya,

Whats the part number on that Paul? Thats the same year I got but mine is too thin. I'm not going to get another one, going a different route, just to help others. As far as smog, I didn't have any issues at all.

I did the same radiator in mine years ago and its still in there. In heavy traffic mine will run fairly hot. I am not sure if it is the electric fans being two small or the headers making extra heat.

New cap and rotor and took apart the afpr for a new diaphragm, smelling fuel from the vac line. Having probs with stalling when entering boost among other issues. Haven't driven a year or so, got plugs too just gotta get more time for install.

Installed some new gauge faces on the Sy..Carbon fiber face with red LED's. I ordered the faces for the SoGt without the turbo gauge. It didn't work right anyways.

I got them at http://www.blackcatcustom.com. Yes they do have different colors in the lighting but not really sure of the faces. Note: you will have to remove the existing faces in order for them to light up properly. I ordered with red lighting but put my own LED bulbs as well. I also put my own decals on them.

Get ahold of John he is DJSY934 here on the forums normally he has you send in your upper plenum but he might be able to come up with a plate you can install your self.
