Worked on rust resto. Went from this:

Still needs a little more polishing, but its a big improvement.

Custom downpipe with 38 mm external wastegate.
And a set of coilovers on the front and rear with the torsion bars removed. Still alot more to come.

chasing a weak spark problem. Swapped my MSD coil out for a new one, along with the cap & rotor. And found that i broke the reluctor wheel on the distributor, for the third time :rant:. I'm putting the billet dist on the shelf for a parts-store reman, see if it fixes my problem, lol.

To keep a long story short,I imagined my Ty with the whole interior gutted then Tom and Damian dragging it onto their trailer.

Which will happen soon. :tdown:

Hopefully they save it.It's rock solid and kinda quick for an Astro van 4.3

MSD Pro Billet Dist is garbage.

I have to agree with this. The billet is a nice piece,but have had many disappointments with them. I have had much more consistent results with the updated version of the stock distributor. And its only $100. HTH

the big question is will our linkage hook to that properly so that things like the TV pressure doesn't blow out the tranny?

I used the part off my factory linkage so it all hooks up like it did from the factory.

drove it into town this morning to get tacos for the family and then parked it. oh and Im gearing up for a valve stem job. not really looking forward to that. it'll probably happen next weekend.

Brought to friend's business with about 100 other "car guys" to celebrate his birthday. Some amazing vehicles...some in the triple digit realm (McClaren, Rolls Royce, Ferrari, GTRs, ZR1, etc) That's a Roush to my left, and a Yenko to the right. Wish I would've taken more photos. :oops:

Screw the distributor just go ls coils ;)
Got my sy running with ls coils thanks to Nolan! Now just to get some more parts and hopefully back to tuning and drivin :D
