I took out my Sy for a nice little evening cruise last night (didnt find any races though ) then washed her and put her back in the garage.

Took out the Ty and had a little R134 added to make the A/C colder. Traced the radar detector wires and found one pinched so it works now. Traced the air horn wires and found out why they weren't honking, the stock horn isn't even noticed by other drivers in traffic with their windows up and cell phones going.

put in a new O2 sensor cause she was running like a pig.... worst project ever. took over 2 damn hours. old unit was frozen to the DP. got an O2 sensor tool only to have it flair out and spin. had to cut/chisel it in half to throw a socket on there and loosen it 1/25th turn at a time. over 20 minutes trying with a wrench, 20 with a visegrip, another 20 using the tool, 20 to cut it down and 20 to unscrew it. and 20 minutes trying to plug that damn connector together. thats on top of the 45 minutes it took to go the 3 miles to o'reilly's. portland afternoon traffic sucks.

trying to eliminate overboost by adjusting wastegate....no help mounted other wastegate still nothing.

Well....after having my meltdown and damn near selling everything....I decided to bring the Syclone back to my own garage where I can work on it everyday if I choose to do so.....

I already feel better....lol

Drove it out to the local meet up spot... found a group of guys that weren't driving hondas/nissans/toyotas and chatted with them for about an hour and a half...

Drove around a little bit... then took the truck home and tucked it in nice and tight in the garage.

After a short drive i have a new noise when i do a sharp turn at low speed, its like a dull thud and you feel it from the front end, also the tailgate rattle is P*****G me off.:banghead:

Long story as usual but heads are off. (It was pushing water.) Nothing obvious. Having the heads checked and will go from there.

Little bit late - this was last weekend but anyway....

Removed drums, bead blasted and chipped all the rust and sprayed them Duplicolor cast iron. The 500F temp paint was the same as the other stuff even though these weren't ceramic.

Also, the throttle bracket was looking a bit crappy so that got blasted too then coated in ceramic matt black semi gloss paint. Looks good. I was all set to put the bolts back on and Keith stopped me like I was mad..

"you're gonna put thos crappy rusted bolts back in on that nice newly painted bracket?" HE said, the gleam of a madman twinkling in his eye...

"Let's do this..."

So I blasted each of the thre bolts individually then coated them in some compound from Eastwood which blackened the bolts to an OEM finish before I then coated them in Linol (I think?). Then when installing them Keith made sure that I didn't press the socket down on the head of the bolt all the way so the new paint wasn't scratched.

It's possibly the cleanest part of the truck

We also removed my wipers and gave them a fresh lick so they look good now..

Did some other stuff with the brakes but that's for another thread....

Installed a BOV that goes PPSSSHHHHTTTT. Then a manual boost controller, then took my neighbor for a ride.

Funny I just gave mine a face lift on the wipers as well.

I also found this in the truck while cleaning out all of the stuff from the previous owner.
TB Plate I'll be pollishing this b4 long!

It was getting dark but you can see I have removed the rear wing deflector off the rear glass, this cleaned it up a lot.

Just installed new fuel filter, plug wires, plugs, and somethings wrong. Truck runs crappy, must have wires on wrong.:tdown: Also installed new e-brake cables. Installed new front calipers two weeks ago and one froze up. I had to buy new rotors and pads and install that as well. Hopefully I can get it running right.

Rolled it out of the garage. Put in a new battery and fired him back up. Nice long bath. Then back in the garage. Need ot figure out my really bad miss still :-/

Ccw classic. Need some tlc basically a complete repolish, trying to figure out if I like them all polished or get the centers powder coated black

Centers black with a polished lip would look (dare I use the term) sick! But then, that's just my opinion.
