i was just messing around,Renz didnt take his off either. :rotf:


i personally would want paint under it.there is gonna be a edge there,good spot for paint to start chipping.

It's been painted before & it is starting to show a little rust on the B pillar seams. I'll probably have it painted next year and I'll make sure it gets stripped down then.

For those of you that have had their trucks painted, what was done to prevent rust from developing in the seams?

Glad your ok. Paint looks like it is coming out nicely. I would have removed the door cladding though. You are going to have problems there one day. I think i have 1 of those corners left. I will check tomrrow for you if you still need it.

The bodyshop has ordered the cladding already. It's taking a long time because they had to cut a check, mail check, check had to clear then cladding ships.

I'm hoping to have it back early next week. Driving my Civic 5 days a week blows.:tdown:

It's finally done. They called to late in the day for me to pick it up before they closed. And they're closed Monday.:squint:

Im glad you posted those pictures of your truck. it gave me the idea to actually pull the handles, locks, rear handle, windows.. etc etc

Picked it up this morning. Looks pretty good.

There is a section along the length of the side window rubber, at the roof, where it looks like the rubber seal had shrunk after removing the glass. Now there is what looks to be the paint line from the previous paint. It's kinda rough. Looks like the micro-fiber might pull some paint off when it gets waxed.
Not sure that's gonna fly with me. I'll have to take it back & talk to them about that.
Otherwise, I'm pretty happy.

Decided I missed it so much I filled it up with 100 octane gas so I could try out the Ultimate chip I've had sitting around.
