@ nick.... Ha!

If I get up into the teens ($) in my next vehicle, I would buy this....
Saw it at corvettes at Carlisle. 70 corvette, 350 350 horse, 4 speed, matching numbers.

I really want a 68 or 69 and don't care about matching numbers.

I think bidding is in the 4k range on my 92 on eBay.
Auction ends next Sunday night. Had a few calls but nothing serious at the moment.

Damn I like that red/red. It looks cherry. The asking price seems spot on too. Someone is gonna have a nice truck out of this deal

Red/Red was not an option in 92 IIRC, so the cladding, at least, has been re-painted.

It was, but prior to this owner from what he told me. All in all the cladding looked good, some minor spiderweb in the front driver side bumper, and what looked like what may have been spiderwebbing on the front drivers side arch, but under the paint. Both sport were very minor and really would only be noticed by you and the car show judge. I only noticed because I was crawling around on hands and knees checking this thing out. And yeah, it is a fair bit of red (the 'frame' on the taillights too!). Other than that he told me the front passenger fender was replaced (GM part, and it felt right) and he painted it. Let me tell you, I looked and looked and it was done perfectly, perfect color match, and the texture wasn't off either, even underhood matched the other side. The fender was replaced due to an oil can falling on it in the garage, and he has the original too. Other than that I looked and could see no signs indicating any other new paint. Heck, he told me about the repainted panel and asked me to find it and I couldn't, even on my hands and knees, nose 6" from the car in full daylight.

The owner is member dlove , and yeah he mentioned previously trying to trade it for a clean syclone on here.

Re: Very clean Ty in Ohio

Warriorteacher,

It is a very nice truck, and kept by a person who truly appreciates automobiles.

I didn't check for blow by but I seriously doubt it has any. The owner is meticulous about his cars and pointed out to me it needs plugs, but if he had not I wouldn't have noticed as it only had a VERY slight roughness to the idle. And when I say very slight I mean it, it was practically un-noticable and only a true car person who knows his cars would notice it. I did check the propshaft and it was very tight, at which point the owner expressed his dislike of abusing a vehicle with things like boost launches, if that's any indication of how it has been driven. The steering was tight with no perceptible slop in the steering, but I will admit to not having driven it, we did discuss it however and on the drive we tested it an it was perfect. The ride was good and it has new shocks, he has the original air ride in storage however.

If the price is right for you (FYI, he is comfortable with his price) this is IMO a very good example of a clean Typhoon.

I wonder why others that went and looked at it, walked away from buying it...

Re: Very clean Ty in Ohio

I can only say why I walked away from it...

Two reasons.
Its at the tippy top of my price range.
Its TOO nice for me. I respect these trucks enough that I don't want to modify and winter drive a perfect example. You can add to this that I kinda want a modified truck, if the mods are done right (aka, I don't want to pay extra for a perfect, stock truck if I'm going to modify it anyways)

Put those two things together and i wasn't in the cards for me.

I can't speak for others.
