ur6 plugs

i am buying new plugs, i know that the ur6s are colder and better for detonation. but are there any downsides from runner a colder plug?

If you run too rich or have any oil fouling problems the UR6's could make it worse. Other than that, I don't see any problems. UR6's is what I run all the time.

yeah i just push mine against a piece of wood,my gaps are at 18.never tried the fr4s.

I didn't have a problem adjusting the gap. I had a problem sliding the feeler gage between the center electrode and the side electrode. I broke the center electrode off with the feeler gage.

i run the ix i just close the gap to around 18.got 3 years out of them,we did see a little gain in hp on the dyno with them.

I have run the NGK UR6IX part # 7348 for the last 4 years gap at .026, they work so well that I still on the first set. I put them in after installing a MSD6A and the MSD Syclone plug wires.
