Re: Typhoon #1215 Mods

Wetsanded and Buffed the Firewall. Still have to drill a couple holes in the Heater box Delete panel for a couple Harness Grommets but atleast that's done while the weather was decent.

Also found a neat spot to mount the Dominator since I didnt wana put it under the seat incase I had to get it to. The Dash Shelf lines up perfectly to where the Harness is guna exit the Delete panel.

Thank you Teddy!

Received my 3.5" Stainless Muffler from Stainlessheaders.com for my "special" Exhaust. The Exhaust ring is Taped on in the Pic and the Holes will be drilled soon. For those that think this Little Muffler won't Muffle anything, here's a Video of it held up to my GTI. This is a 3" Catless Turboback exhaust and it made it a bit Deeper and Quieter. Very pleased with it being that unlike the other Mufflers out there, this has Packing to help Muffle.

Re: Typhoon #1215 Mods

shoot I wouldn't even run the muffler, my turbo drag mustang has got two feet of 5 inch exhaust straight off turbo and is still quite, either way it will sound awesome!

Re: Typhoon #1215 Mods

Sean, do you have enough room to move the fender plate down and toward the door more, so it's not going directly through the body line on the fender? I'm sure you want it away from cladding too, the line is bugging me.

Re: Typhoon #1215 Mods

I'd like to bring it to Carlisle but don't have access to a truck and trailer unless I rented one for that long $$$.

Steve that's basically as far back and down I can go with being flush with the Firewall to get the button head Allen screws in for the Exhaust ring. Really won't be able to tell too much that it's in the body line once the holes are cut.

Thank you guys for supporting me during this whole Typhoon build since day one. I reached 100k views and glad that I can help motivate others to work on their trucks again as I know sometimes it's not easy to get out there. Really appreciate the kind words which motivates me more to build my truck the one I've dreamed about!!

Code what?
No problem it's just a fender;)

I dig it Sean, are you still going to be able to pass your local inspection to keep it legal on the street? I honestly would plan to make a pipe with and without the muffler. You never know which you may like better. And with that short of pipe, the expense.....uh well, cost effective.

Can't wait to hear this hit the track, what exhaust housing you running on what turbo? I guess I missed where you planned to change.

Re: Typhoon #1215 Mods

The exhaust won't be for everyone. Harmon's old Sy Blurple has a Fender exit and that truck is beautiful. I'll still drive it more than most 10 second SyTys out there. Heck I put over 4K miles on the truck last year. I built the truck to enjoy, show off and still make some impressive passes. Didn't your momma teach ya if you don't have anything positive to say don't say it ?? Haha just messin

I'll be using the same PTE-72 GTQ with the SyTy Exhaust housing. I sold my downpipe and got a new flange to have Sound Performance fab me a pipe. I don't have a inspection here. Just OBD scan for cars up to 96'
