Nice job. Its good to see someone taking the time to clean-up their truck and take pride in its under hood appearance. Most just repair whats wrong when it breaks. I actually enjoy taking mine apart in sections and cleaning/upgrading parts as I go.

Got the Ty finished up with the new Fuel system. Started right up on E85 with little adjustments in the Tune. Still have to drive it a bit more to make sure the Front Diff is all good to go without issues, and then some Tuning to do!

Steve the tank arrived silver when the picture was Black. So just sprayed it.

I agree, I was planning on Polishing the case of the Alternator but didn't have enough time this winter.

Got the Beast tuned perfectly. Cruise AFR/Timing is right where I want it and E85 made cruise power a lot better out of Boost. Also got Part/WOT Boost and Timing set. Besides that, I've been having some issues Breaking Right halfshafts, 2 within a couple days. Found out by Testing the Transfercase that the Viscous Coupler is Locked up causing the front axles to break. So, that's my Project as we speak. Installing new Bearings/Seals and new VC, everything else looked and tested fine such as the Chain. Already pretty expensive to rebuild the above. Should have it back on the road end of the week.

While the Ty is down, I decided to lower the Front a bit more and also Tint the Corner lenses. I Polished the Skid plate I got from Randy and will have an install pic once the Jackstands are out of the way. I noticed my 10 year old Poly trans mount wasnt lookin to hot and replaced it, gota love that Torque haha. Will also be installing the ICE Black plug wires to clean up the Engine bay more instead of my Red wires.

After the Tcase is rebuilt and I drive it a bit to make sure all is OK, my plan is to finally strap it on the DYNO to see what she makes. I'll announce when I'm goin for yall to check it out!

Also, got the Ty back together after the Tcase rebuild and it was a night and day difference. The truck just coasts after you let off the gas and turns so much easier and slow speeds. Crazy how that Viscous coupler messed with things. Just didn't realize how different it drove since I don't drive it during winter.

Got my Hood Vinyl Wrapped in Carbon Fiber. Had a bunch of rock chips from being driven 15 years. I love the way it looks and the Body lines on the hood make it pop.

Well was only able to enjoy it for a couple days and then the Trans gave out. Broke the Output shaft in half. Currently getting that repaired so I can enjoy the truck. Looking for 80e Swap parts if anyone has any to sell.

I finally got my spare Tailgate painted after storing it for 5 years waiting to spend the time/money, and also installed the Stickers.

Like I said on facebook I love this build Sean. Wish I had the balls to do this to my Ty. Unfortunately my Supra drains my wallet from beating it up. Read this whole thread btw.

Seems like you could make that dream happen looking at your truck. Sound Performance is great. I get my parts from them. Reid is my boy!! Mention my user name and he'll know exactly who I am. Hahah

So I'm an really really old school SYTY guy chiming in. I'm a Chicago guy bought my 92 in 94 and had tons of fun up til 99. Motor gave out from being ridden like a rented mule, GTECH said 0-60 in 2.96 at its best. Basically at the same time the truck has issues I found out I had cancer. All along I had decided that I was going to build a really fast stock motor truck. But it was this point beating the cancer that I decided I wanted to build the first 9 second Ty. I was extremely fortunate as I had 2 of the best friends a SYTY owner could ever have in Brian Green and Rich Eartly.

I unfortunately bought a motor from Rockford Racecraft that was crap and ended up suing him. Big wake call but life goes on. I ended up building a 281ci Oddfire motor with 18 degree heads and 76mm turbo and as far as I've seen the first one to run a 4L80e trans with a 4000RPM stall converter. At the Chicago NATS 2005 if I'm not mistaken on our maiden voyage we ran a 11.60 at 127MPH with a terrible 2.3 sixty foot...this was with a new motor, trans, rear end, turbo, intercooler, computers, wheels, brakes, fuel cell, radiator, etc....for those of you that remember my handle was OddfireV6 but at the Nats one year the great Morgan renamed me UNIsackV6. Maybe with a little more luck things would have been different but I have to say with Rich and BG on my side I wouldn't change a thing.

My point for posting is this. I used to wash my truck every week and baby it just like Sean and while I unfortunately don't know Sean I have over the years watch him build his truck slowly but surely, pretty obvious to me that he carefully calculated exactly what he wanted to do and that is easier said than done. Just reading through this post and seeing his progression and how he did what he did is really impressive. Running 10's in a super clean Ty is really impressive, not sure how our paths haven't crossed but cudos to you brother your truck is AWESOME!!! It makes me wish I would have kept my original plan to take it one step at a time.

Keep up the great work man that truck is killer and it has reinvigorated me to start reading the board again.

I haven't been reading much obviously but has anyone with a Typhoon V6 AWD run 9's yet??

Thank you for the compliments. You don't remember me, but my Dad and I when I was around 12 years old drove in the Sy/Ty convoy to KC with you, BG, Ivan and a couple of Supras. I don't think Marty went. There must have been at least 10-Sy/Ty's going. I remember we waited for you on the interstate when your Ty almost fell off the trailer when it went into a ditch.

Maybe you remember my Dad Rick Krupa from RK Kustom. We even went to your condo downtown one time for something and you showed us all the work you were doing to the Ty. Seeing your truck was another one of those which also got me hooked. You definitely had a super build going on with a lot of impressive work.

Its really good to hear your still around and you beat that cancer. I learned so much about these trucks from doing so much reading for all these years from some of the guys who were pushing the limits of these trucks such as you and a handful of original members.

Yeah you're welcome truck is sweet. Glad we could inspire. Keep up the awesome work. I'll start reading more and probably posting as I have a bunch of stuff to sell. Most likely going to sell my White/White '93, don't have the facilities to work on my trucks any more and I'm not as patient as I used be need something way more reliable.
