First, take the cable loose from the throttle body, then remove the 10 mm headed bolt from the TV cable assembly where it enters the transmission. (the transmission needs to be lowered in some cases to have access to this bolt. Then pull the cable out of the transmision and grab the linkage with a needle nose plier and hold it. Now remove the tv cable from the linkage. It was easier to write about it than do it....I usually have the two trans. cooler lines out of the way first, and disconnecting the linkage from the throttle body is what you should do before jacking up the vehicle, but I always seem to forget it, until I have the trans on a jack and the truck in the air....
