Triggering electric fans with FAST

My Syclone is nearing completion. We're trying to determine the best way to trigger the electric radiator fan, dual IC fans, and Meziere electric IC pump *without* using unnecessary and potentially troublesome electronics. We would just go with having all of the above on all of the time except for the high current draw when starting up the truck.

Is there a fan trigger from the FAST ECM we could use to trigger the 3 relays? If so is it delayed at all or would they all come on during cranking if the truck is already warm?

Does anyone know of a bulletproof temp sensor that could trigger the relays at say 160 degrees F water temp? I know they exist for higher temps but can't find one which triggers that low.

The electrical system has been upgraded with the physically stock-sized PowerMaster alternator. Also, Dennis has gone through all of the vehicle wiring replacing and/or upgrading the wire where appropriate, shortening, rerouting, and eliminating all non-soldered connectors. Yes, that took a good while  .

Yes FAST is capable of controlling fans, you can actually select the turnon temp from the software you just need to run a wire to the correct pin out.

Thanks for the information. Lemme know if you find out any more about those temp sensors - meanwhile I can always call Griffin and ask them I reckon...

The only thing i dont like is to start the engine with the fans on .There should be a time delay in there IMHO

I run mine of speedpro.

You have to run the ground from your relay to speed pro. You will need an extra pin (gm style) to plug into your connector. I forget the actual pin location but if you need I can get it.

Yep Mikes right. I went to the local GMC Dealer and the guy gave me a little ziplock pkg of pins. So I assume there not that expensive. I couldnt find any at the local electronix store.
