Another one of the reasons I went with a PI was because of lock up. My controller is set to lock in third at WOT. I was assured that it would be fine, thats why they rate them at 1600hp/tq and they would still warranty it as long as I used the supplied spring for the pump. When it locks you know it. It locks hard, even under light throttle in 4th for cruise mode.

It's been a while since this thread was posted, but I am looking to do something different and now another search begins. It seems the TY torque converter is fine. I will focus on getting a good adjustable wastegate setup and possibly adjusting the governor before getting into a new TC.

Anything new out there for adjustable wastegates?

I was looking into Forge. It seems a few members on here had success with them. I will be researching them more tomorrow while I am off. Was there a certain part number for our trucks? I took a quick look at their website the other day and did not see SY's or TY's mentioned.

i would start a new thread for this.that way people don't start looking at the thread thinking its about converters still but i don't have any help for you on your questions
