Forgot about lightnings. My dad had my TY and sold it to me when he got a lightning. Got rid of the lightning for GCSRT8. I have a TBSS and that is how I responded. Not modified in any way, therefore reliable.

Yeah...just anecdotally, I don't see a whole lot of SyTyers with Lightnings. Seems many more have gone the TBSS/SRT8 route. But as someone said, many of those that sold their sytys to get one are no longer here.

They might have had something in the middle. TBSS didn't come out until 06. Lightnings while pretty bad, filled the gap for some. I hated that truck.But it is your poll and you did say SUV. So for that reason.... I'm out.

You are missing - I have a syclone and had a TBSS

I loved my TBSS while I had it. That thing would pull like nuts in second gear. Only thing I didnt like was the stabilitrack when I was playing with it in the snow!

Would buy one again if I had money...

I personally like the srt8. I'm a gm man, but just can't get turned on to the ss. I think its because I really dislike the tb/envoy.
Envoy denali is nice with the 5.3, same for saab 9_7. but most tb had that annoying I6.
The women is set on 4 doors, and wants S4 wagon, but I've been hinting really heavy towards the srt8. Maybe a test drive will convince her.

I already have one 12mpg POS that's paid off... rather not add another one to the mix and pay a 3x more in registration and insurance.

I like the SRT8 and the SS about the same, but if money wasn't an object, I'd probably go with one of these... in black of course.

Wife has a '12 SRT8 Jeep as her daily. SY #0248 sits under a cover and wonders to itself why the soccer moms SUV runs circles around it. Lol

Always been a GM guy but the TBSS doesn't have Sh*t on the SRT8. I absolutely love those trucks!

There's also the GC 5.9 Limited and Durango R/T 5.9. Not exactly in the same class performance wise (now) but they hauled ass for their time.
