Syclone #11 (and me too) moving to Orlando

Well, it has been finalized. I am being relocated to Orlando and Syclone 11 is being transported (in an enclosed trailer by Dependable Auto Shippers) and should be in Maitland (where my condo is) on the 13th.

I'd really like to get together and meet other Sy/Ty owners. I also can use some tuning help if anyone in the area is willing to help out (or we can trade services if you are in the market for real estate or refinancing your home ;) ).

Anyways, I can't wait to get back to my new home and weather where I can drive my Syclone more than 2 months a year  I look forward to meeting everyone.

I'll have to come check #11 out when I'm over in "O" town in the next month or two  Maybe Tim will have a Sy by then too?

Don't taze me bro!
Not to scare you but pick up your phone right now and cancel the shipment with DAS. Look into any other carrier and you should be better off.

Well i have never had a vehicle shipped personally, always been a fly in and drive it home kinda guy, but a buddy of mine in Dalls bought a 87 Buick GNX and used Intercity Lines to ship it from Detroit to dalls and had no problems, they had an enclosed trailer and even kept the car covered while in the tailer. and they never drove the car anywhere, they pushed it where they needed to, so that nobody got the urge to "see what i could do".

Like i said not my personally experience but if i ever needed to ship a car, thery are who i would use.

Re: Syclone #11 (and me too) moving to Orlando

I got a place in Maitland, really nice. As for DAS, they have been 86'ed. Thanks for the heads up. North American Van Lines who is doing my move is also handling my truck in an enclosed trailer.

I will be moving in on the 12th, myself and the fiance are driving down in her 3kGT, should be fun on the highway ;) with my V1 ;)

I hope to get to meet and see everyone and hang out with more sy/ty'ers (there was only one other Sy in WNY, an older guy, very nice and all, but not much into the scene or cruising much.

I'll be in touch when I finally get settled in.

Nice... Maitland isnt a far drive for either Ian, Warren, Jordan, and Christian.

How are you off I-4?

Re: Syclone #11 (and me too) moving to Orlando

I made it here safe :) The truck is running a little rough though :( I am in BIGTIME need of a tune. Unfortunately I am not skilled at tuning but I would gladly pay a few bucks to someone to help me out with tuning or trade services (I work in Real Estate Law, if someone is purchasing or refinancing a home I can hook you up w/ title insurance ;) ). Or if anyone here can recommend a reptuable tuner/shop around here let me know. I unfortunately do not have a garage here yet (I am on a waiting list :( ) and I do have more work to do on the truck but nowhere to do it (which really sucks because I am a DIY'er for the most part and my truck has always been garaged since new) I hope to have one in the next month or two.

I definitely want to meet up with the local sy/ty owners here! I see the meet coming up, I will see if my schedule will allow me to make it down there.

Oh, and I am off I-4 at exit 90 A/B Maitland Blvd. but I work downtown on 50.

I'm your man for anything other than transmissions, just give me a call anytime 407-221-2469

Glad to hear another truck is in town, it was gettin' a little lonely around here lately :)

Theres a shop I'd reccomend for bringing a daily you dont want to deal with... Bill's auto tech on Obrian off 17/92. the shop looks like a dive but the guy does good no nonsence work.

Of course when it comes to the sy, I wouldnt be taking it to a shop for anything... Christian should be able to help you out, or if you just need some helping hands feel free to drop me a line. I have a garage at my apt now if you need a temporary place to work on your truck, but my sy sleeps there at night...

oh and Im 13 weeks away from my new house, so I may take you up on the title insurance.

Thanks guys! I'll probably give you a call next week (I am visiting my grandma in West Palm this weekend for easter)

And I can definitely help you out with title insurance/closing help ;)

Re: Syclone #11 (and me too) moving to Orlando

What kinda garage you need? (said you were on a waiting list..??)

I work for a architect in lake county. I can hook you up with a set of plans cheap if you want. Signed and sealed ready for permitting. (or you can go thru a 84 lumber, I do all of their garages anyway.. :) if you buy a stock plan from us/84 lumber its $150. But I can get it to you for $50-75 maybe.. Same goes for any of you other syty guys here in the state!)
