Found this on my Darwin Awards desk calendar today - maybe this is the answer to Morgan's theft problems - read on.........

South African law allows "lethal action" if personal property is in danger. Because carjacking has become popular in recent years, owners have created a variety of deadly security systems - from poison gas to flamethrowers. One owner relied on an airbag, installed in the car roof, that would inflate and hit a would-be thief's head with a force strong enough to render him unconscious. And that is exactly what happened to one man, who, armed with a pistol, attempted to steal this vehicle. When the airbag exploded, he thought someone was shooting at him and instinctively fired back. Unfortunately for him, his gun was still in his pocket. One bullet hit his knee, and the other lodged in the base of his penis.

this is a confirmed account - not an urban legend.

Stupidity is a sexually transmitted disease.......practice safe sex - PLEASE!!!

Holy shit man!!! That's fuckin horrible. Morgan if I see your truck driving around, I will follow it till it stops, drag the piece of shit out of it and beat them to the ground. Then call you then call the cops. I'm really sorry to hear this man. I WILL BE ON THE LOOKOUT.

Before you do that:

1. Make sure it IS his truck and that they don't have a gun.

2. Check to see if he got it back allready. It sure would suck to have your girlfriend beat up while driving back from the impound lot in your recently recovered truck. That'll be the last favor she'll ever do for you!

well, i went and saw my truck on Friday. I took film pics, no digi, so your gonna have to wait. Anyway, the door is already fixed and primered, they are probably gonna paint it this week. I think they have the column but are waiting for the dash from Michigan, it should be here on Wed I think. I asked them to cut the bottom of the old glovebox out so I could have the RPO decal, although its very faded, I just gotta have it. Past that, once they get to dash replaced, all the locks back in, ect ect. I should be able to at least drive it then. Next on the list I think will be to have the alarm company come out and remove all their alarm shit. Then depending on what day I actually get it back, I am either going to put in a temporary stereo or send the truck off to get the transmission checked out. At some point I will be sending all my stereo info to the insurance company to see what they are going to do. This blows, what a way to end 4 years of college.

hey, last night i met a guy who had security cameras hidden in and around his car. obviously this wouldnt act as a deturrent but if you get the car back, you will be able to actually see who took it. not sure of the name of the company, but i will find out, and has anyone actually tried this? is it worth the money?

I have Lo-Jack on my truck. It is like $500 and you get it checked out every two years for like $40. There are no monthly payments and it is kinda a no worry setup. You might want a second one to back that up. Some people have a fuel cutoff switch which might work good if hidden but then again theif gets pissed when it stops and does other stuff ie: kicking in door panels and getting other revenge .

just my 2 cents

i have security camera's. I have 2 night vision ones hooked up to my house alarm system. When the car alarm sounds the house alarm goes off along with a outside siren/strobe and the two camera's are still recording.
