Get the purple one if you want to roll "stealth" and not have anyone know that you have a turbo/BOV. I bought the gold insert as well as the purple one when I still had my HKS just to try something different:
The pics on HKS's webpage weren't the greatest so I had no idea what I was going to get. Much to my disappointment, the gold insert was just what it looked like. It was just a gold colored version of the silver one that came with my BOV. Good for the bling factor if silver ain't your thang I suppose :roll:. The purple one emitted virtually NO sound when I got out of boost at 15 psi. If anything, it sounded like someone trying to blow out the candles on a birthday cake. It was a total waste of $60 for two inserts.
