SOLD: GT74Q Turbo & PTE Downpipe

Selling these for a fellow syty owner.

Here is my GT74Q it has 148 miles on it. Had the compressor housing polished which was ($200) and then also sent out the exhaust housing and had it Swain Tech coated ($175). So the Turbo was $1200 new the polished compressor housing was $200 and the Swain Tech Coated Exhaust Housing was ($175) So thats a total $1575 looking to get $925. Turbo is great shape and ready to go. More pics if anyone needs them

Here is the PTE Downpipe (discontinued now) has about 3000 miles on just got it Swain Tech Coated also (coating has 148 miles on) Looking to get $500. Update - downpipe SOLD to "V" - thanks dude!!

Not to get off topic, but could you post pictures of the wastegate setup? Wondered how you attached it to the flapper in the dp due to the larger turbo housing? (more so did you just extend the length of the rod? And howd you mount the actuator?)

The turbo housing is the syty housing. Fits the same. I will throw in a sales pitch for this setup.

I have used the same turbo for the last several years except for the fact that this one is the 74 GTQ (74mm) version vs mine is the 72GTQ (72mm) version. I use the exact DP also on my build and have excellant control of my boost. A nice thing about an internal wastegate is the fact condensation doesn't screw up the wastegate like the external setups. I use a Blitz controller and the setup as been perfect. If I set the controler for 22 LBS I get 22 LBS.

I have run my setup with vortec heads and a 412 cam and have run 10.7 -10.6s in a heavy Ty . This turbo setup would be great with either good ported vortec heads or a nice set of LiL Brody heads.

Did you have to port match the exhaust housing to the puck?

I did not open the diameter of the exhausting. It is my belief that opening it could cause the puck to open easier (a bigger dia exhaust port may allow higher leverage on the puck). The goal here is not it provide any more flow than needed to bleed off turbo pressure to maintain your boost level.

What I did to mine was to bevel (angle cut) the inside area of the exhaust port from 3'clock to 9 o'clock. I left the outside area of the exhaust port alone where the puck sets against. My arm adjustment is set at about 2 turns preload.
