I've been looking at this forum for a few weeks now and there are no new threads from us SoCal guys. So, I thought I'd start one for the hell of it.

So here it is. Ta-da. :p

Oh Hey! Scott and I went to the winter nationals at Pomona last Sunday. We ran into Ray Fletcher and his wife Lynn! It was nice to see them. You guys remember them? Nice folks. He had the 12 second red Ty with alky. Then he sold it and the wifes Chrysler Crossfire and bought a GNX. Well, he said he kept the GNX for six months and sold it... ended up buying another GN and he's currently cruizing it around. His wife now drives a purple SSR. Ray says hi to everyone and hopes to surprise us and show up to a meet one of these days.

and steve did ya ask who the hell bought that red ty????? i shoulda bought that eff'n thing even if it did catch on fire when Adam test drove it :rotf: probably still wouldnt be as bad as the BS im goin through now with this other #$@* POS!!!!

Every morning when i leave for work i curse these trucks. :rant: If there ever was such a thing as a love/hate relationship... it definitely involves these trucks.


PS... steve i love the teddy tribute in the sig... and for some funny reason everytime i see one of your posts, i immediately think of that license plate frame :rotf: maybe that frame was refering to itself... cause i sure remember it! but we'll never know if it remembers us.:(

Hehe. Neal. Why or how you associate the the old licence plate frame from the Nissan with Teddy... is beyond me. It doesn't matter to me... but come to find out, the dude who owned the car before me... though a feminine lad, is NOT gay. My sister says he's straight and her BF told me he saw his chick and apparently she's pretty hot!! There's a fine line between the metrosexual look and the gay look. I was mistaken. Jooky licence plate frame none the less. Glad it's gone.

To everyone else who have posted... thanks for your 'chime-in'. Keep 'em coming. There are a few more of you around here than I realized. Hope to see some of you noobs at the next meet... whenever that may be.

I noticed that Branden from up north copied my thread and is now doing a NorCal role call. Funny.

im right over the hill in TO. you ever take santa rosa road out here? i saw a black sy out on that road a while back, but i was in my DD and late for work otherwise i wouldve run down whoever it was.

Funny to hear about Ray, what a guy, at least hes enjoying himself in his hot rides :thumbsup:
On a different note; would anyone want to go to Nationals in KC this year? Maybe we can work out something, i know its early, but its a real PITA to organize X amount of trucks being shipped across the country. All in all the Nats is a real fun gathering, totally worth the hell it takes to get there. Anywhoo, wassaa!

Hey Steve, maybe this year we can have a get together at a IN and Out Burger joint. Maybe we should try and find out who does the T-shirts for them. So we can get one made with a bunch of Syclones and Typhoons going thru the drive-thru and in the parking lot.

yah me and my SY are cruzin santa rosa all the time, you might see me i work in westlake so i make the commute from las posas in camarillo to lindero rd in westlake, shes my daily driver so shes with me at all times, also i know of 1 other SY roaming around camarillo when i had my old ricer burner i raced him and got toasted, his friend in his SY at the time saw me at a gas station later on and he said he had a bigger turbo + nos, im jealous but my SY is much purtier, his was pretty faded and worn lookin, ive also seen 3-4 diff TY's roaming around dunno if they live here or are just lookin for me :p

Nats?? I think that this year, I have have a better chance than ever in getting the time off this summer. I really want to go... lemme see.

Yeah, had some side projects going for a while there and had to take leave from the sy/ty world.Actually, I checked in a month ago b/c I needed paint codes for my sy to sell it and get a more normal vehicle. But since then I figure why do any work on it at all if I'm gonna sell it and plus then I'd have a carpayment,no more turbo,etc. I'm seriously toying with just tossing another $3500 in it to finish it and buy another cheap ass car instead of a new expensive ride. It's hard to think of letting go of all that time and effort that went into my sy.Haven't made up my mind all the way,yet. As for Paul, I never really got to know that guy as well as I wanted to. Despite being in the same city and e-mailing eachother regularly, he seemed to be doing his own thing. His SY was only a part of o his life, running/contributing(if I'm not mistaken)to SD street racer.org Haven't head from him in a few years. Remember that older guy with the Kenne Bell SY running c-16? I listed his truck on the forum back then for sale but as far as I know he had no takers from syty.org
How's ur sy? still got those sic ass ghost flames?
If I do decide to keep the SY, you'll see me at SoCal events.
