shift point question

if i want to raise the shift points from the stock 4400 or so from factory to 5000 or higher how do you go about doing this.

i am speaking about WOT shift points do you adjust tv cable as i thought this was for part throttle?

or is it done thru a chip

im trying to lower mine at the moment and I think the problem with mine is the governor. My transmission was replaced somewhere along the line and I do not have the stock Syclone governor. THe stock governor should shift about 4400. All other 700r4s had different governors that shifted higher.

You need to change the governor to properly change the shift points.

I think I have ~5000 RPM Govenor, but I would have to find it. You can also buy a B&M Govenor kit and play with the weights and springs.

You can get this govenor #43G http://www.transmissioncenter.org/700r4_Parts_List.htm#Governor seems to work good if you want to shift around 5k rpm.
