Personally, I think 30 days is more than sufficient time to offer a refund IF an item proves faulty. I have stuff I have purchased from members on here that is still boxed up (never even opened to check for apparent damage) and most of it is older than 30 days. I would never ask for a refund on those items in any circumstance seeing it would be my fault I never opened the boxes and tested the item(s).

You asked for opinions...here's mine; you don't owe the buyer anything but a kind response to relay your empathy for him . A year is waaaayyyy to long to voice a complaint.

T-Bone I couldn't have said it any better  , On the other hand I have a Ultimate Radar Ver 6 chip that I bought over a year ago and most likely 2 years ago. I never installed it, so can I get my money back if I can remember who I got it from :haha: ?

Just Kidding about getting my money back:haha: .

Yeah I have had the unit stored for almost a year and never bothered to try it out until I tried on my new motor in my typhoon here a couple of days ago. I remember receiving the chip w/ the rear cover missing & thinking I'm sure it works fine & did not bother checking since Rodent was not a newbie or anything.
The display works & the truck did start with it installed. The key locking mechanism does not unlock to change the settings. I think it is stripped or something. Judging by the cover missing it looks as someone else was aware of the problem & was trying to fix it.

I would like to apologize about the lock not working. I really had no idea it had a problem since I never tried it on my truck. My Typhoon is still stock and I'm still waiting on funds to get the code 59 program and chip burning equipment. I have yet to remove my ECM. Been too busy fixing my DSM's over the past year. :(

I actually did buy mine used about 7 years ago. Right after I posted, Wade sent me a pm, saying he had my rear cover :). Mine did have a rear cover, so I was wrong.

My first baby was born on 7-21-07 which was around the same time I ordered the chip and did not have my mind on testing it. I'm sure it's an easy fix.

Haha, thats my old ultimate chip that I sold to TurboT. Did it still include a few different chips? like the 50lb/412/vortec chip?

Its my fault it was missing the back cover, I lost it one day while trying to repair the "key lock" mechanism. Even without it the unit worked fine when I had it, toggle switch and all. I only sold it cuz I changed my engine setup and moved onto Code59.

But jeez, $150 is a great price, I believe I paid around $300 for it.

The history on the chip is coming out. :)

There were no extra chips. Just the one for the Vortec heads, 412 cam and 50# injectors.

Heh, Dennis Kaese "crazykaese" was talking about this at the Homecoming meet. Syty parts get "recycled" and sometimes end up back where they came from in the first place

I also included a 3 bar map sensor.

$150 for an Ultimate and a 3-bar map sensor is quite a deal.
