I just saw this thread. The aluminum inner fenders mentioned in the original post that come from Harmon, caught my eye. Any more info on these?....thanks. Trey

Re: Simple Syclone Rebuild

I really like how the aluminum inner fender plates look. After I did a ABS Delete a month or so ago, my dad mentioned to me how nice it would look with some sheet metal or aluminum. I would like to powder coat mine black for a smooth apperance.

By any chance, do you have a template that you made, and what thickness of an aluminum plate did you use? Also, where is a good place to buy sheets of aluminum?

Thank You,

Re: Simple Syclone Rebuild

i almost bought this truck.. im kicking myself for not doing it.

if i remember right, the sy did have a built motor. i think the trans is built too. i rode in the truck a few times.. especially all the way down to nats. it ran fine

was always wondering if the turbo was shot.. it would spool, but not make much boost. just didnt sound like my stock turbo. plus i think mark had it turned down, to make sure it wouldnt grenade lol

yes it does have 2 trans coolers on it.. he installed those then trailering the sy trailor down to nats.

sorry, just started reading this thread. i could of gave you some info before you tore it down. anyway keep on kicking ass on the truck.. cant wait to see it done with the color combo.

The rare and elusive GMC Typhoon lurks in the woods, waiting for its next victim to carelessly walk by.....its lack of cladding makes it all that much harder to spot making it easier to surprise its victims.

That's a sandblaster, right? I'm thinking about buying one of these, do they worth the bucks?

It was awesome but you have to make sure and buy the right material. I got mine really cheap at tractor supply
