1.73 at OSW right after a car blew up in the middle of the day. That was on a 12lb launch.

whats this neutral rev about? neutral the motor doesnt have any load on it, are you revving it and then manually putting it into drive to launch? wouldnt it just be better having your foot on the brake and the other on the gas and just trying to hold it down so it doesnt take off . obviously easy if you have the hydro boost but brake boosting is what ive always known about with automatics and more or less neutral revving with a 5spd before dumping or feathering a clutch at launch

neutral rev builds more vac in the engine, which inturn allows the brakes to hold more at the line..

Re: post your best 60ft on a stock truck at the dragstrip

reving it creates more vacuum which the braking system works off of.. so more vacuum more holding power

Mine has run 1.83 60' with some wheelspin. It ran that in NC on a really crappy track (and 95°F and 90% RH) with a 10 psi launch & 22 psi in tires. It ran the same best 60' here in Oregon at 4 psi launch on a moderately crappy track (2nd race of the season, 6 weeks after 1st race so it might as well been opening day), 27 psi in tires. My brakes are not working well right now, so 4-5 psi was all I could hold consistently. Planning to go back to bonded rear shoes with large shoe front and rear (buying 2 sets).

Michael Pliska
