Post up the best 60ft times you have seen on a stock truck at the track.

i recently took my TY to the drag strip to see what she ran in stock form. I noticed my launch was not so great compared to other trucks i had seen in the past. It was extremely busy and i only got 2 runs in. my 60fts were both in the 1.9's. while tryin to build boost at the line the truck would either push through the brakes or try to spin the rear tires while the fronts were locked, at which point i backed off the gas a bit, I was worried about my transfercase.

so whats the expected 60ft on one of these trucks.

Define stock, not many "STOCK" trucks are raced.

If your not in the 1.7's you got some work to do, brakes, technique, something.

it is 100% original stock truck with the exception of a k&n filter. I had the spare tire and everything in the truck.

Are you reving in N to build vacuum in your brakes, before you brake torque the motor? If yes, pushing the lights is usually a front brake problem (air in lines, pads or need new calipers), spinning rears is usually a rear brake problem (7/8" wheel cylinders)

I'd say that's about average for a 100% stock truck, without sticky tires. and stock stall.

1.8s are generally considered good.... 1.7x is very good. If you have the late factory converter, a 1.9 isn't bad.

Tighten your rear brakes up via the adjusters, and make sure you do the "neutral rev" manuever before launch.

after the fact i did try putting it in nuetral and reving it and holding the brake pedal down farther then launching, as you told me justin. it seemed to work a bit better, but it was on the street so i dont know. regardless i think the rear brakes need adjustment. i cant stall it up very high without it trying to spin the rear tires. sure the fronts will allways hold now that i know how to rev it in nuetral then put it in drive....but it doesnt do any good to try to build more boost if the rears are still spinning.

1.61 and 1.62, but it only happened once or twice.

Horrible 1.99 with 6+ year old dry rotted tires

But I have new ZR1's wrapped in some decent tires now, so that better be at least a 1.8x now
