Re: Polishing a turd
Thanks for the kudos, especially all you other "lifetime owners" out there

! You know who you are, even if your truck isn't on the road you still love it the same. Once you dedicate enough time into something, it truly becomes part of who you are. Even when my truck was broken for over two years, at no point did I
EVER think about getting rid of it. Everytime I walked by it I always thought to myself "I have a syclone in the garage". It may not run, but I own one and am in good company  !
Wow $75 an hour to polish metal all day

??? I'm in the wrong line of work

. But then again, I do like having fingerprints. Everytime I have to help my coworker bench molds, I end up sanding them off. When I was finishing up the rims for his race car, I sanded the ends of my finger nails down to flesh and had to take a break. That kinda hurt.
BTW the "DIY" write up is well underway:
I got my previous EGR blockoff plate from the owner of this intake. As you can see, it didn't fit so good...
Started on it earlier in the week and have about 12 hours of sanding done so far. Hope to press the buffing wheels into service later this weekend. Fortunately the owner wants a satin finish. After I polish a few spots for the write up, I get to resand them...
