cool, but for that kind of money, why not buy an original Typhoon and not only have the speed but the VIN to keep it an collectible piece?

Yeah,

To answer both your q's the price you would pay for a typhoon with all my mod's would be way way more expensive than what I did!!!

and about the odometer; i wounder if people that restore an old 56 chevy's keep the orginal miles on it considering that the frame is the only thing left that has miles on it?????

plus i don't plan on selling it and if you bulid a typhoon from scratch that took you almost 2 years would you want your odometer reading 130,000. NO i dought it!!

In some states...If you do a complete restoration (usually frameoff) you can apply to set title milage back to "0". I am not sure of all the requirements but I know people who have been successful in doing it. I don't think our sytys are old enough to qualify.

Yeah, no collectors VIN but also no Typhoon priced insurance!

yes, no typhoon priced insurance....just wait til you wreck that thing. They're gonna take your ty-clone, give you a lousy $1500 for your '90 S10 blazer and tell you to have a nice day. and whats wrong with high mileage? It gives it character.

oh and btw, I'll have the tilt front end before you :razz:
My one-piece fiberglass tilt frontend with 4" cowl induction hood will be here in the next few weeks. :grin:

What the hell is wrong with you guys? Mkid sounds like he went through Hell and back to complete a project that very few ever get close on, and all you can give him is a fat load of jack shit? Crying about his odometer as if YOU PERSONALLY might buy his creation and stand to get screwed? And then some lame cracks about how worthless it is?

I don't think any of you could have spent any amount of time on any sizable project.. or else you would understand. I haven't built any cars but I understand where he is coming from. You don't do this kind of thing because you think it's going to be PROFITABLE or you think it's going to be some type of collector's item. He said he was PROUD of what he built and NO one's cheap shots should take that away from him. I say "Shame" on all of you who tried to take away his glory.

So why don't you all just lighten up and BTW didn't your MOMMAs ever tell you, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all"?

Mkid Dont worry there are alot of haters. Just do your thing because unless you have a "real" sy/ty people will always hate.
