Thanks again for the kind comments. The scoop is a Sterilite tub, instructions courtesy of Steve Nunley of Austin, posted at sytyarchives.com.

That is an unbelievable looking typhoon!!! Did the wheel tire setup require any modifications?

Re: OK since I took some pics......

Actually, the front bump-stop mounts had to be trimmed to avoid interference with the rim at full lock. If I was running the stock a-arms, they would have needed trimming also, but the tubular a-arms (coilover) don't. And, of course the front axle stubs had to have about 1/2" cut off to get the center caps on. All told, about 1/2 hour work with a angle grinder, including clearance checks.

Thanks again for the kind comments. After a few months with the coilovers, shocks; preload and rear springs/air pressure all tuned in... I think the combination of stance and handling are outstanding. Now I just need to get it painted. It's a 20 footer at the moment.... any closer and the 'warts' become pretty obvious.

OK, I have got another question, this one will be an obvious newbie question. Is that the stock grill with the red removed or is it aftermarket, fabrication, or what? Thanks for your help and patience! Also, I might pm regarding the suspension if you wouldn't mind giving me some pointers.

Syclones and some Typhoons came with black letters instead of red. You can still buy the black letters from a couple of places. For my truck, I have red Typhoon logos on the sides and will be putting red Ty and GMC logos on the tailgate when I repaint it, so red letters on the grill work better for what I'm looking for.

When I bought it, the PO included both a red set and a black set. I'm guessing the red were OEM on this truck, but I'm not positive.

As for suspension, sure... there are lots of threads here covering the front coilovers. Not so much on the rear, but I'll answer any questions best I can.

Some of the '92 Typhoons came with the black letters. It seems that they are on early VIN # Ty's from what we figured out while walking around at the SyTy Nats.

Truck looks awesome! This may be a dumb question but has anyone tried tinting their headlights to get the same effect?

Re: OK since I took some pics......

Thanks. I am really liking the coilovers, reworked rear springs, LS1 brakes, Renz shaft, fast-ratio steering w/ all new parts... having the stance just how I want it is nice.... having that AND the handling and ride is almost too much to believe.

I actually buffed it out and waxed it yesterday (1st full-truck wax since Nats 2003?!!), installed an overhead console modified to house/operate 2 garage openers and did leather maintenance. Life is good!
