Weather link.

Hard to say what the weather is gonna do this far in advance, particularly this time of year.
Check before you leave. Temps have been in the 50s-60s. for highs. If we get to run, the air will be great!

I'd also recommend checking the track line, but they don't often update it.

For folks looking for gas, other than the track:

Brady's

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=...6802&sspn=0.004527,0.006384&ie=UTF8&z=12&om=1

They have Phillips 110 leaded and 100 nolead.

No clue whether they'll be selling at the track this late in the season.

Food/lodging/other:

Crowbar in Sabin has great burgers.
General Store in Sabin has ice cream/sodas/sundaes.
Antonellis in Dilworth has really good food, I've heard.

There's hotels and stuff along 8th Street in Moorhead. (See Brady's directions above)

I'll clean out the garage in case we get a big downpour or something.

See y'all there! Pass the word! Call people if necessary!

so when I get to Sabin, where do I go? I'll be coming in on 94. I'm about 95% sure I'll be there. Is there camping near by, or hotels? I have to leave Sat night, or early Sun morning so it's gonna be a short stay, but it will be fun....

Hotels, there are plenty (see post above). They usually allow camping at the track, but it being a 1-day thing I'm guessing they'll shut down (for the year). KOA is closed for the season, already.

General track directions:

From East:
I-94 west towards Moorhead. Take the CO rd 11/MN 336 Sabin exit. Go south about 3/4 mile to the track. If you pass the big weigh station/truck reg compound, you went too far.

Sabin itself is about 3.5-4 miles further down the road from the track.

From north:

I-29 south to I-94, I-94 eastt to CO rd 11/MN 336. Turn and go south ~3/4 mile to the track.
There's a Case dealership that you'll pass on the way to the track.

Later,

Seriously, the track is 1 mile off of 94. easy to find. There is usually camping right at the track if they still do that. It was pretty nice. There's a bath house too if you like to be pretty.

Showers would be a bit chilly this time of year. If you're into the polar-bear club thing, go for
it. :)

Sorry, forgot to tell you. It's done... I just gotta pack all the settings into a chip to leave in the vehicle. Should be able to get that done this weekend.

It needs traction... :)

It also needs front end work... it's a bit scary on launch, as it's kinda all over the place.

Re: Oct. 13 - MN/ND/SD/Manitoba folks - SyTy/Buick Meet!

speaking of tuning, Dig, are you gonna have some time before we get to the track to take a look at ours (Dans and mine). I think we are planning on coming up early Sat. morning...I don't get off of work untill 7PM Fri night so by the time I got up there it would be at least midnight (ugh)...and that's if everything went smooth, which you know it won't, so I'm just gonna get up pre-dawn Sat. and hit the road.

What time is everyone planning on getting to the track? Should we meet somewhere before hand (Perkins as was suggested sounds good)

I wonder how many will come back on the trailer? hehehe

Sounds good to me. I've got the funds all squared away too. Hopefully the nitto drs will help eliminate some of those traction problems. It'll be interesting to see what she does. Have you ran any 110 in it?

Ya... quite a bit actually. DM said 12.7 with a really soft 1-2 psi launch.
Tires didn't want to handle much more.

I'll get you guys covered, at least with something workable. Hopefully Dan can get his ECM connectors cleaned up.

There's a Perkins in Moorhead not too far from the track.

9:45-10:00 AM OK?

Directions from track:

Take county 11 north over the interstate (same exit you got off on) keep going, turns into 336. Take this north to Highway 10. Take 10 west towards Dilworth. A cop likes to sit by that off ramp, so watch out.

Go through Dilworth, go past the Wal-Mart, and ~ 1 mile or so further west. Address is 3005 Highway 10. You'll see the big flag and the sign.

I'll bring the poster for Brian, too.

I'll be sporting GN-power this weekend. It really likes the alky/racegas combo. :)

Re: Oct. 13 - MN/ND/SD/Manitoba folks - SyTy/Buick Meet!

Hey. I need a favor. Can somebody go to autozone for me,and order 2 #96-3008. It's a gasket set for the throttle body. I tried to order them over the phone and they said, nope, only in person.I will pick them up/pay for them next weekend.

if your looking for just the TB to intake gasket I have one I can bring with me.

I put 400 miles on it this weekend and got the fueling tables really nice. Except closed throttle in gear goes SUPER lean. If I throw it in neutral they bounce back to happy. I tried adjusting F29 closed throttle, but that didn't help any. Any ideas?

10ish should work @ Perkins. I plan on leaving Prior Lake at 5am and should hit Sabin around 9:30ish.

I'll call Dan tonight and try to get over to help him get his stuff squared away this week sometime.
