Re: NewMember-First post
Hello, well I’ll try and answer your questions. =)
The green moss, I guess it’s the standard Pacific NW variety with some algae and lichens thrown in to complete the out door look, blending in with everything else here.
Yes, I do have a nice set of jack stands, but the guys at GN Northwest have a really nice lift, where my Typhoon currently resides, but my stands will get a lot of use going forward on this project.
This was my neighbor’s truck; he had purchased it a few years ago for 17k from a local dealer. I had chatted with him a few times in the past about the truck when he was driving it. The truck had been parked in one spot for over a year and starting to turn green, slowly being reclaimed by Mother Nature, I put a note on it asking if it were for sale and here I am.
Had a few different plans on what to do with the truck, put a late model GM V8, rebuilding a much higher output 4.3, but with the truck being completely stock and I figured I would be driving it less than 3k miles a year, I decided to go with the OEM, NOS engine trans at GN Northwest. Not wanting to tackle the cleaning up and detailing as the previous owner must have been a mad scientist leaving all his lab experiments growing in the truck, I took it to a local detail shop, they had to keep it for a couple extra days to remove those lab experiments. From there it went to GN Northwest for the install, where it currently resides.
Once I get the truck back, there are a lot of detail items that I’ll be chipping away at, most likely asking for advice from the forum, relying on the knowledge and experience of all the members as I go.
