Re: Newly rebuilt Ty 92 #0021

For those who have not seen it, this is the truck that I was called out on for not being a street truck. I will be updating some pics since I will be doing some more work on it soon.....

Keep up the great work Matt! I know you'll hit your goal of 10's next year and can't wait to see more updates

Love those seats BTW, would love to get them for mine one day. One of my Favorite Ty's.

Re: Newly rebuilt Ty 92 #0021

I want to order some real nice coated and crossdrilled rotors front and rear as well as some new pads for this truck. I think they are f-body brakes, but not sure on the year. The brake upgrade was done prior to me owning it. Also would like to know what brand of pads/rotors you guys recommend. I can post better pics if needed. Thanks.

Still looking at options for f-body brake rotor upgrades. Any suggestions?

One word comes to mind when I look at this Ty. Jealous!! That is nice. I am really liking this thread and I hate to be that guy but I am probably stealing the black dash idea. It looks too good against the charcoal interior.

What Sean said, I got them too based on his recommendation. They're drilled and slotted and look amazing with the ZR1's. I forgot a put a few pix in this thread a few pages forward. Check 'em out.

I did check out those pics, wow! what a difference. I will get those rotors f+r but, i'm leaving the calipers bare aluminum. Thanks for the suggestions and pics.

Thanks for the kind words. This truck has been a labor of love for sure. I've wanted one of these since I was 17. More to come.

Lol! I was waiting for that! I have a stack of time slips. There are some video's on youtube that are more exciting than time slips. I will have my 10sec slip this year. Long drive from Boston to Kentucky and would be very difficult to get the time off of work, my boss is a crazy sick bastard (self employed) so I will have to see.....

Re: Newly rebuilt Ty 92 #0021

What have/are you doing to your Ty this winter Matt?

Hey Sean, I'm doing some work to my rear suspension, caltracs, Eaton posi with axles, 2 step, 4 drag radials and have been removing some weight here and there. I'm shooting for 10.99, Full int, full exhaust with ac, but it should do more, all depends on how hard I want to push it. I think she's got a 10.70 or so in her. Should run 128mph in the 1/4 easy so we will see. I'm gonna see if I can get there by working on my 60' which is horrible, If not i'll just start turning up the boost, still only at 18psi.

Awesome! Be sure to post pics. What 2 step are you planning on using? What activation method? That's on my list as well.

Added a video...These runs were during low boost tuning. First run is @13-14psi, second is @15-16psi. I've gone a best so far of 11.27@124 @18psi.
