hey gang, i am a newbie to the SY/TY. i just bought Michaels SY and plan on keeping it going and refreshing all the parts that are in need of reconditioning.

i've always had my eye on a SY when they first came out, but at the time i couldn't afford one. so now that the kids are a little grown and i have more free time in the garage to work on my auto, i decided it was time to pick one up. i've mostly hang out on the Corvette forum since that's what my other vehicle is. but know that i have a SY i can hang out between the two..

i'll be around checking on whats what and checking on the parts for sale to pick up some factory parts that i need. see you around...:tup:

i was just giving what SAM asked for, i dont have one on this computer of the SY. i'll put it up tonite when i get home..

Welcome. What number is your Sy (last four digits of VIN). 1096 maybe? What part of the country are you in?

welcome!!! let me get this straight tho... you could not afford a sy at the time but now you have 2 ZR!'s!!! man, whats your secret? we need picts and info on the sy please.

Thanks for the welcome, it's # 0973, i just picked it up from Michael, skydivesy952. im in the wonderful desert community of North Indio, Palm Springs area...those are some nice vettes in your picture, my wife doesn't understand my car interest so that's why there is only one. :rotf:

Thanks for the welcome sycho, i couldn't afford one when they were new in 1991, i was just in my first years of college at that time, i was into the mini truck craze back in the 80's when we use to slam them before the time of air ride. and i only have one ZR1. that's not me in the other post. i pu the pics up earlier post i forgot i had some on my phone...it's # 0973...

Deal! (I'm in L.A. or S.F. just about every year, but rarely P.S.)

I did get a ride in the ZR, but had to settle for shotgun. :( Still, damn impressive. He tells me his new '12 GT-R is faster. :roll:

ahh, should have let you drive it, you will be ok as long as you leave the traction control on, but if he has an 09 they didn't have traction control that year.. don't say the GT-R is faster to the ZR1 forum, i don't think they ever found the guy that said that last time..:rotf::rotf::rotf:

well if you ever make it out here shoot be a message, well catch up for lunch or something and take her out...:tup:
