Good choice i would continue the tyclone and finish it so you can enjoy it. I got one question i have a 92 chevy s10 4.3 and i am in need of the spider injector set up and a fule regulator under the plenum. Where are you going to puchase this? It seems that i cant find them under 300 dollars. I cant wait to see that tyclone. What color are you painting it?

These are the best deals I have found. Im going with a new one because i dont want to mess with the used and risk it failing.

From my repair manual it also look like we will need a gasket as well as some o-rings to install a new one.

And by the way what does this mean, I don't understand.
**TOTALLED meaning not repairable... Buckled and crumpled frame, crumpled and mushed cab that needed prybars to even get the doors open again...**
Can you make it clearer for us.

Some people kept telling me to fix the truck in a variety of threads. i needed to make it clear that it cant be fixed as far as i know. If it can, its outta my world.

I am pretty sure he was just joking.

Relax man. I didn't look at all your pictures, I just initally saw Typhoon hit in the front. I didn't see the buckled roof. I have seen quite a few Typhoon that are wrecked in the front, that just either need frame striaghtening or a frame swap. I know atleast half dozen on this forum that have done so. Smaug the other guy in this thread who recommend keeping it, bought a front end damaged 'totalled' Typhoon that he repaired.

lol yeah I know, I figured that would get the point across that I wasnt going to fix it. I have had 5-10 people here tell me to save the Ty! hehe
Just clairifying. ;)

Actually Im sure it could be fix by someone. A new frame a straightening out the cab, maybe a new roof or so. But its out of my realm of capabilities. I dont even know a body man, have room in my little garage or have the moneyto resore a vehicle as badly damaged as this. But for a bodyman, Im sure they could resurect it. Id love to sell it whole, but I surely want a Typhoon interior in my truck as well. hehe

Wow nice. Comes with everything needed to do the whole swap.

4.3 CPI Service Kit $300
Part# CPI-200
LTS introduces the General Motors 4.3L service kit. “Buy it all at once” This kit is just what you need for the 1991-95 4.3L “W” engines when you have diagnosed them as needing a new CPI unit. It includes an LTS reconditioned CPI unit with upgraded regulator so you don’t have any more worries about a leaking fuel regulator, the fuel supply & return lines which will put your mind at ease when removing those brittle plastic lines from the old unit, an upper plenum gasket and an EGR screen-type gasket to take care of the common problem of carbon getting stuck in the EGR valve. This is a 10% savings over purchasing these parts separately. Keep in mind, there is a $50.00 core charge for the CPI unit.

Yeah almost thing is fixable with the right amount of money, but I wouldn't attempt fixing that one, either.

Yeah I was just messing around with him. You would have to read the earlier posts to really understand. Having said that. If it was up to me I would still go with Opinion B for the following reason.

The look on someone face after they got smoked by a 4 door Jimmy would be Priceless.

Re: Need Some Opinions: Project issues and piles of trucks...

Well, I changed the Typhoon wheels to the Jimmy tonight and learned that it looks like a 4x4 now... ick

So now I need to swap the ty rear suspension and I guess get lowering keys for the front or just use the Tys front suspension.

Re: Need Some Opinions: Project issues and piles of trucks...

You can just swap the leafs and the torsion bar keys from the Ty.... the front suspension is the same otherwise
