Syty Killer :(
I cant decide what I want to do here. I want my truck to stand out, I drive a ty and not a vette because no one else has one. I want it fast, I wanted low 11's which shouldnt be too hard at this point but high 10's would be more impressive. When someone looks under the hood of my truck I want the reaction to be "OH F#$%!!". I considered doing a V8 s10 again for fun because I like having a project at all times(dont ask why, i must have been dropped as a kid), but the ty is a much better looking truck and I can have two mediocre trucks or one all out machine. I like to be able to drive it on the street, weekends, to work or whatever but I have another vehicle for a daily.
So now I'm thinking of a few options:
Twin Turbo the V6 (not sure how much it can take before its not very streetable)
Leave the V6 single turbo and go big but that doesnt look as cool when you pop the hood
Twin turbo V8, this is what Id like to do if funds allow. More power without pushing the limits of the engine, and its always fun to see under the hood.
Concerns with a TT V8:
will it kill the value of my truck? It already has 130K miles, no ABS, no cruise, no AC, and see sig for the rest. Im not sure it will matter.
Will i make my truck handle worse? I know it adds weight to the front but Im hoping aluminum heads and coilover suspension will compensate for it.
If I go V8 then to fund it I would be selling my engine(manifolds, intake, turbo included), it has about 1K miles on the rebuild and has seen a max of 15psi, mostly it was driven to work and to one show. See my sig for the build, whats that worth?
