I can't remember which part number I actually used. Nick (NJ93Ty) got me one that he used on his truck. It was from like a vega or something??? It worked out fine, not a perfect fit but worked. Good to know there's still a "right one" out there.

Matt I cant remember the PN either. From what I found in my repair history at work it is a Gates belt and PN 20767. Should be the correct one. Did you leave the tag on yours matt? I am currently using this hose and have no problems.

Old thread I know... Played musical radiator hoses last couple of days trying to find the "correct" lower hose for the Sy.

One local shop said all BUT Syclone (Every brand said the same thing on his computer) walked out with a Goodyear 61502 tried it anyway, close, but not correct.

Next was the GMC stealership, claimed 15149147 was correct, paid 38.83. If it was truly correct I'd swallow my pride and keep it. Closer than Goodyear but see next.

Went to NAPA picked up a 8723, fit perfect. Took back the official GMC gold plated one and kept the NAPA 25.00 hose.

So IMHO the NAPA hose is still the one.

Just want to make sure this is all correct and still the hoses recommended from NAPA.

Lower NAPA# 8723

this seems like a problem that is only getting worse.

here in the UK there is a company that takes a hose and then makes it in silicone.

Would anyone be interested in the stock hoses in silicone? black blue or red? not sure on price - you can bet it would be cheaper done in the USA.

Any vendors want to start that up?

Can you find out if the company in the UK is affiliated with a company in the states? They might have some kind of partner company.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the help with the hoses. The NAPA hoses that was stated to use fit perfect. :tup:
