Yet people buy Harleys knowing dam good & well they'll vibrate their self loose within the 1st few miles :rotf:. Glad I own a damn sonoma gt's that's slow & hand-me-down-ish .... even though body wise it cost just as much as your SYTYs to maintain/repair.

I don't know about that statement. I've owned a couple Harley's and never had any issues with them. How many have you owned?

There's reason they only made syclones for 1 year. They made ty's for 2. Do the math. More popular and whay more fun. How the hell can you get laid in a syclone? In the box? That's lot's of fun int he winter or rain. And just black? how friggen boring is that. You want black go buy a model t, that's the only color those things came in also.I'll take the fat man seats over the sy seats or 92 seats any day of the week, those things on the handles ( escutcheons) who the hell designed those hideous things. That be the first thing to come off.

I've already installed fatman seats for my fatass & overhead console. I'm not sure I'll change out the door panels though. I kinda like the creases in the 92's.
x2I plan to fully convert my 92 into a 93. By the time Im done, the only way you will know its a 92 is pull a carfax or look at the door jam.
Typhoons are only good for cruising around and mildly going quick anyhow.... if you want to go fast, you buy a Sy

I love the creases on the door panels of the 92, if they are how they show in the brochure with ALOT of creases. You don't see many that are actually like that, most of them the creases are pretty weak and not looking consistant and lacking crease.:tdown:

your kidding? the creases make it look like someone doesnt know how to do interior work and cut the leather piece to big and didnt stretch it. Thankfully, my truck for some odd reason barely has any creasing and is almost smooth...the way it should have been done IMHO. It was actually a factor of me buying it, else i woulda ripped the door panels apart when I drove it home out of sheer uglyness. Its a good thing I cant see the escheceons when I drive too.... its #1 on my list of worst cosmetic features. I want to kick in the door when I walk up to the truck....I need to get them off soon.

Your all out of your minds... If you want the 93 seats go buy an s10 blazer b/c i know for a fact thats what mine had before i junked it. The 92 seats may not be alittle smaller but every girl i put in that truck for some reason seems to be naked in a matter of minutes... As for the door panels, who argues about creases??????????

Not kidding:tup: I personally love the leather creases in the 92, it's just another touch of making the Tys own unique character in my eyes. I hate how most of them lack crease, because they are supposed to be covered in them. After seeing this picture, the 92s crease covered interiors are the bomb, and too bad they all weren't exacly like this. On another note, I lean towards the 93, without mentioning I have one lined up.

That picture makes me cringe. it looks exactly like someone doesnt know how to to interior work, overcut everything and its all worn out and saggy stretched like its been sat in 1,000,000 times. Kinda like when you sit in water for to long and your fingers turn into prunes. The only thing I like about the seats is the embroidered logo, and even that has its downfalls. You have to avoid it and carefully clean around it else its so easy to dirty up and make look nasty.
On top of that, all those creases help along the leather cracking and getting those eyesores of spiderwebbing all over the place aiding in the look of making the seats look even worse.
Also, the cloth doesnt help keep the seats shape and thats why you see alot of 92s with all wavy seats around the piping between the leather/cloth. All around the recline hinge and the seat front when your smashing it with your legs takes the worst beating.
But hey, if thats your thing.... by all means. I just personally dont like it, there are many who do. You guys are just weirdos and Im fine with that.....we can all still be friends!
I was gonna work on the Ty today... maybe I'll start with taking the seats out and lightning a match to it all.

I can see where you are coming from with the appearance of shotty leather work, but I still think it looks classic. Id noticed way to many small details if I had a 92, that would bug the crap out of me not to mention I would end up spending who knows how much getting the seats done the way they really should of been.
