Are you still using the syty intake? I cant remember if I've asked you that before or not.. I notice the stock TB. Thats why I'm asking.

Upper intake is next up on the project list. I'm making a front facing intake that will use the stock (or stock style) tb.

It'll look something like this:

I had flanges waterjet cut from 1/2" alum:

and actually i had a different intake flange cut that i changed the design a little to make it easier to make an intake on - so i will prolly sell this as an intake spacer if someone would want it. (adding fs thread now  )

more pics of the cardboard prototype if you're bored:

I'll make a thread for this when i start in on the actual fabbing. I already have a big sheet of alum that i could prolly make about 4 intakes from - so that should give me plenty of room for error.

Renz, you sure aren't making your Ty project easy by doing all this custom work.

yea i know. :rotf: but at least mine will be totally different/unique from the other trucks out there. plus it ALMOST begins to make sense as to why its been off the road for so damn long....almost.

Ok I'll bite, was gonna go snozzel but how much for the spacer? I may could use to build a NOS plate so I can speed the new engine build right straight to Hell :rotf: !

Thread hijack in progress :

I was thinking the same as you james , but you may need a 1" spacer to get the angle of spray correct .

Re: My Front Mount Intercooler

Spray bar can be done at any angle but the standard "straight down" firing will be ok, maybe a 30 deg. at most.

i can probably get a 1" cut if you'd want one. let me know, i'll have to find out what the cost would be.

well just a little bit of time has passed...but i just picked up my intercooler
the angle of the outlet isn't what i'd asked for (or i just explained it wrong knowing me)...but thats what you get for not being there while its made i guess. Still i'm happy w/ how it turned out, welds are really clean - much better than i woulda ever done, thats for sure.

Its a 3.5" thick core btw. Should look nice in an alum rad support

Looks really good!

What's wrong with the angle of the outlet you wanted it more straight out, your not explaining yourself again :n00b:
